WATCH! Conor McGregor lets everyone know if he respects Jose Aldo after open workout

By Russell Ess - December 11, 2015

UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor put on an open workout for the media ahead of UFC 194. Irish flags were being flown in the crowd and McGregor could feel the love from the flock of people watching him work on his movements and sparring.

After the workout, “The Notorious” answered a few questions from the media. One, in particular, struck a chord due to their recent faceoff where McGregor and Aldo seemingly give one another a nod of respect. The question asked (20:44) was simple: “Do you respect Jose Aldo?”

McGregor answered, “Respect for me is earned through battle. If he shows up, fights with his heart, you have my respect. But, I cannot respect a man that has ran, that has evaded. If he stands across from me in the Octagon and gives me the exchanges he says he can, he will have my respect.”
