Matt Mitrione and Shawn Jordan may collectively possess the most relaxing walk out music in the world. Once the fight started, though, these guys were anything but relaxed. Their offense was intelligent, but it was more of an organized chaos as they were looking for heavy shots to land from the get-go.
Shawn Jordan attempted to take Mitrione down twice but they were both failed attempts. Mitrione countered the takedowns by turning the tables and pressing Jordan up against the fence where he would pick his shots. The first takedown defended did not lead to much, but it was the second that would ultimately end the fight.
With Jordan pressed against the cage late in the first round, Mitrione separated briefly and wobbled him with a right hook. Jordan stumbled away and Mitrione calmly hunted him to another part of the cage where he followed with a combination of punches that went on to end the fight with only one second left.
