Edgar willing to fight McGregor in Ireland

By bjpenndotcom - December 15, 2015

Frankie Edgar has literally been doing everything possible to get himself a title shot lately.

The Notorious

After Conor McGregor defeated Chad Mendes for the interim UFC featherweight championship back at UFC 189, Edgar climbed onto the cage to congratulate McGregor, and attempt to set up a fight.

The night before UFC 194, Edgar knocked out Chad Mendes to extend his winning streak to 5 and further his case for the next title shot.

UFC President Dana White said Edgar was next in line after Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo fought at UFC 194, however he also stopped Edgar from going in the Octagon after McGregor knocked out Jose Aldo.

Conor McGregor has also previously stated multiple times that he plans to move up to lightweight now that he has the featherweight championship.

In an obvious move to attempt to get McGregor to stay at 145 for a title fight, Frankie Edgar is offering to fight him “anywhere” which is likely code for Ireland given how badly McGregor has been itching to do a Croke Park stadium show.
