Marcin Held, a veteran of the Bellator and UFC cages, could not have looked much better in his debut with European promotion Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB). Held’s debut, which occurred at ACB 88 in Brisbane, Australia, pitted him against the dangerous Callan Potter. The UFC and Bellator veteran delivered his debut win with a first-round heel-hook.

With this beautiful submission victory, Marcin Held moved onto a two-fight win streak, as he actually won his last fight in the UFC, but ultimately parted ways with the promotion anyway.

These back-to-back victories were preceded by a trio of Octagon losses: A brutal, knee-induced KO courtesy of Damir Hadžović, an absurdly controversial decision loss to Joe Lauzon, and a far more legitimate decision loss to Diego Sanchez. These losses were preceded by a decision defeat of Dave Jansen in his final Bellator bout. The Polish grappling specialist is currently 24-7 overall, and looks to be a strong asset to ACB’s growing lightweight division.

Interestingly, Held was quickly called out post-fight by a fellow UFC veteran in Northern Ireland’s “Stormin'” Norman Parke.

“I would fight Marcin Held [in ACB]” Parke said.

What do you think the future holds for Marcin Held after this beautiful submission victory?
