We have not seen current #1 UFC ranked lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov compete since November of last year where he defeated Michael Johnson by submission in the third round. “The Eagle” was scheduled to fight #2 ranked lightweight Tony Ferguson in a UFC interim lightweight title fight at UFC 209 in March. However, Nurmagomdeov suffered weight management medical issues hours before the UFC 209 weigh-ins and was taken to a hospital and the interim title fight was canceled. Since the mishap, Khabib has stated that he has been recovering from his medical issues suffered in March and was aiming to fight Ferguson first and then Conor McGregor in the Winter. McGregor has stated that a fight with Nurmagomedov in his home country of Russia is something that has his interest after his mega money fight with Floyd Mayweather in August.

One video, in particular, puts Mayweather and McGregor side-by-side and compares the two fighters training. Mayweather is seen looking very quick and precise as he hits a double end bag while McGregor looks slower as he hits a much bigger, heavier, specialty bag. Wednesday afternoon in Toronto, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and undefeated boxing icon Floyd Mayweather appeared onstage together for the second time in their second stop on their highly anticipated world tour. The press conference got off to a quick start as Conor McGregor led fans in attendance in a “f**k the Mayweather’s!” chant, which he then followed up with a callout of Showtime Exec Stephen Espinoza, who he blamed for having his mic cut out in the first press conference:

The Candian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor appeared on stage in front of nearly 15,000 fans in attendance for the press conference to hype up the money fight between the two biggest names from boxing and mixed martial arts.

Thursday afternoon, the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor world tour hits New York for the third stop of the highly anticipated four-city tour. Wednesday’s press conference stop in Toronto was much more intense than the first stop of the tour in Los Angeles on Tuesday, with the UFC lightweight champion coming out guns blazing in the verbal battle. Upon taking to the mic, Conor McGregor quickly took aim at not only the Mayweather family, but Showtime Exec. Tuesday at the first Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor press conference, the pair kicked off their world tour, as well as begun their trash talk for the highly anticipated event. McGregor spoke to the audience in attendance at the Staples Center first, before then passing the microphone over to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather continued the war of words, as he launched several scathing attacks at the UFC champion, who had his mic cut during Mayweather’s speech. When the pair came face to face for their first staredown at the end of the press conference, it was clear that the trash talk had only just begun as the pair continued to talk trash face to face.
