Going into UFC 202, there was much speculation as to what UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor’s next move would be after his rematch with Nate Diaz. McGregor won his rematch with Diaz via majority decision, avenging his UFC 196 loss to the Stockton superstar.

In the wake of McGregor’s win, there has been much speculation as to what McGregor’s next move will be. While UFC President Dana White has stated that McGregor must return to featherweight or vacate his title, McGregor has remained noncommittal about returning to featherweight, even going as far as to say that his next fight will be at 155.

Given that Alvarez has called for the winner of the fight, many are wondering whether or not Alvarez and McGregor would square off inside the Octagon. In addition, news broke this week that McGregor had turned down a movie role to train for a lightweight showdown with Alvarez at UFC 205.

The event, which will serve as the UFC’s inaugural event in New York, is supposed to be one of the biggest in UFC history. While the main event hasn’t been announced yet, the UFC revealed this week that Donald Cerrone vs. Robbie Lawler had been made official for the highly anticipated card.

In the video above, former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen called for a fight between the two.
