VIDEO | Manager Ali Abdelaziz claims somebody recently tried to kill him

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on Monday, MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz claimed somebody recently tried to kill him — more specifically, they tried to poison him.

“Let me explain to you, I was poisoned, bad,” he said. “I was dying. Somebody tried to kill me in New York. Somebody tried to poison me. I was in the hospital.”

Ali Abdelaziz was asked how he ingested poison — whether somebody dosed his food or drink — but said he isn’t sure, and that it doesn’t matter.

“I don’t know,” he said. “I was poisoned. I was in the hospital two times.

“It doesn’t matter. I don’t want to get into details. Somebody tried to poison me. Somebody tried to kill me.”

Ali Abdelaziz is serves as the manager of a host of top UFC stars, such as UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo, former UFC bantamweight champ Cody Garbrandt, former UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar, upcoming welterweight title challenger Kamaru Usman, and top bantamweight contender Marlon Moraes.
