TJ Dillashaw is exploring a new business venture amid his United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) suspension.
The former UFC bantamweight champion sent shockwaves through the MMA community after testing positive for EPO earlier this year. The 135-pound fighter was subsequently suspended for two years by USADA.
Dillashaw has taken the time out as an opportunity to heal physically and have some much-needed surgeries. His interest in restorative health has crossed over into his business endeavours, as Dillashaw posted today about the new juice bar that he has opened. The organic juice bar in Yorba Linda, California serves juices and health foods.
“Cheers to new endeavors, healthy bodies and strong spirits! 💚
We are thrilled to bring @cleanjuiceyorbalinda to Southern California this summer! Our store will be located at the new Yorba Linda Town Center. •
Orange County!! We are looking to hire management positions at @cleanjuiceyorbalinda! If you are interested in joining our team please submit your applications to firstname.lastname@example.org.” – TJ Dillashaw on Instagram
Whilst some fans were happy to offer TJ Dillashaw words of support, many fans on social media have mocked this new juice bar based on Dillashaw’s drug scandal. Regardless of any negative feedback, new financial opportunities for Dillashaw are surely a priority, especially since losing MMA sponsorships including Monster Energy.
It is anticipated that Dillashaw will return to the Octagon once his suspension finishes in 2021, and he is eyeing a rematch against Henry Cejudo. Dillashaw was knocked out by the current bantamweight champ, Cejudo in just 32 seconds. However, will Cejudo still be the champion and will the UFC want another Cejudo vs Dillashaw matchup? Only time will tell. In the mean time, TJ Dillashaw can focus on this new business venture.
