A light heavyweight scrap between Aleksandar Rakic and Jimi Manuwa co-headlined today’s UFC Stockholm event.
Manuwa entered the contest in desperate need of a win, this after dropping his last three fights. In his most previous effort at UFC 231, the ‘Poster Boy’ suffered a brutal knockout loss at the hands of soon to be title challenger Thiago Santos.
Meanwhile, Aleksandar Rakic entered today’s co-main event sporting a record of 11-1, which included three straight wins in the UFC. Rakic was coming off a TKO victory over Devin Clark in his most previous effort.
Tonight’s co-headliner did not last long. After exchanging some low kicks and throwing a handful of punches, Aleksandar Rakic was able to land a clean combination that ended in a brutal head kick. That strike sent Jimi Manuwa crashing to the canvas and the fight was immediately called off by the referee.

That KO of Manuwa was one of the worst head bouncing off of canvas falls I’ve ever seen! That hard on the back of the head after the lights are already out is not good at all. Hope he’s ok. #UFCstockholm
