PHOTO | UFC drops official poster for UFC 240: Holloway vs. Edgar

At UFC 240, scheduled for July 27 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will attempt to defend his title against former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. The card will also feature an interesting featherweight fight between former champion Cris Cyborg and rising Canadian contender Felicia Spencer.

On Tuesday afternoon, the promotion dropped the official poster for the UFC 240 card, featuring the scarred mugs of all four aforementioned fighters, shrouded in some kind of green mist.

Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar were scheduled to fight previously, but their first planned meeting was derailed due to a Holloway injury. In this rescheduled UFC 240 title fight, Holloway will look to rebound from a light loss to Dustin Poirier — his first loss in 13 fights. Edgar, meanwhile, will look to build on the momentum of a 2018 win over Cub Swanson.

Cris Cyborg, on the other hand, will look to bounce back from a shocking knockout loss to Amanda Nunes, which ended a 10-year unbeaten streak. Her opponent Spencer will look to continue her rise after a recent submission defeat of former Invicta featherweight champion Megan Anderson.

In addition to this Max Holloway vs. Frankie Edgar title fight and Cris Cyborg vs. Felicia Spencer showdown, the UFC 240 will feature a number of other high profile bouts featuring top talent from Canada and further afield.
