Dana White updates on Zuffa Boxing venture

UFC President Dana White has previously claimed that he plans to venture into the world of boxing promotion.

“I had a meeting in LA yesterday. We are continuing to move forward, and we will absolutely, positively be in the boxing business,” White told ESPN last year. “If you know how I run my business and what I like, yes I want all the best boxers in the world,” he added. “I want them all to fight each other and find out who the real champ is. That’s what we’re going to do.”

In the months since then, however, we’ve received very little in the way of updates on this new venture from the UFC boss.

Speaking to CNN Sport, Dana White finally provided another update on his boxing plans. Apparently, he’ll start making moves after what is sure to be a jam-packed summer for the UFC.

“I am making all my boxing moves after this summer,” White said during a recent interview with CNN Sport (transcript via MMA Mania). “When this summer is over, you’ll be hearing a lot about what I’m doing in the sport of boxing.”

Do you think Dana White has the chops to make some waves in the sport of boxing, or should he stick to his bread and butter?
