Earlier this year, Dominick Cruz returned to the Octagon to fight TJ Dillashaw for the bantamweight championship he never lost inside the Octagon. Cruz, who had the belt stripped from him due to injuries, won the fight via split decision to reclaim his bantamweight championship. Dillashaw left Team Alpha Male to train with Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig at Ludwig Martial Arts, and at Elevation Fight Team, there has certainly been no love lost between he and former mentor Urijah Faber. While promoting his upcoming UFC 199 trilogy fight with Dominick Cruz, Faber event went as far as to say that Dillashaw looks like a “prepubescent little teenager” because “USADA came in”, implying that Dillashaw’s physique changed due to an increase in random out-of-competition drug testing.

It’s been just 4 months since TJ Dillashaw lost the UFC bantamweight championship to Dominick Cruz in Boston in January, but it appears as though the former champ is looking to return to the Octagon sooner rather than later. According to Megan Olivi, Dillashaw could wind up fighting on UFC 200 on July 9th against Raphael Assuncao. Assuncao was the last man to defeat Dillashaw before Cruz did in January. The loss to Assuncao was a controversial one, with Dillashaw losing via razor thin split decision.

Dillashaw may no longer be allowed to step foot inside Urijah Faber’s Team Alpha Male in Sacramento California, however that won’t stop him from cheering for former mentor Urijah Faber when ‘The California Kid’ steps foot in the Octagon at UFC 199 to fight Dominick Cruz for the bantamweight championship. The fight will be Faber’s 4th bid for the UFC bantamweight championship, and will be his third fight with Cruz. In the pair’s first meeting back at WEC 26, Faber defeated Cruz via 1st round submission. When the pair met for the second time it was under the UFC banner at UFC 132, where Cruz defeated Faber via unanimous decision.

Dillashaw proceeded to put UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz on blast while campaigning for a rematch against ‘The Dominator’. Now, in a new Instagram post, Dillashaw took aim at Conor McGregor’s fans in the caption of a hilarious video.
