Sean O’Malley says he’s still shocked Henry Cejudo was a UFC champion: “He’s so stupid”

Sean O’Malley says he is still stunned Henry Cejudo was a UFC champion due to how dumb he was.

Cejudo first won the UFC flyweight title in 2018 as he beat Demetrious Johnson by split decision. He then won the bantamweight title two fights later in 2019 to become a champ-champ to help cement his legacy.

After defending the bantamweight title once, he shockingly announced his retirement from the sport. He ended up returning to face Aljamain Sterling in a fight he lost by split decision and then dropped a unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili.

According to Sean O’Malley, those decisions prove that Cejudo isn’t the smartest person and he’s shocked that ‘Triple C’ ever won UFC gold.

“Henry’s gotta be the number one dumbest, shortest champion that has ever lived. He’s so stupid. Every time he talks I think he’s getting dumber, the dude is so stupid. I can not believe he won a championship belt, he talks and talks and says the dumbest shit ever. He’s really dumb and short,” O’Malley said on The Pat McAfee show.

It is funny comments from Sean O’Malley who doesn’t speak too kindly of Henry Cejudo. But, he knows he doesn’t have to worry about Cejudo as he says ‘Triple C’ is never coming near his title as he won’t ever get a title shot again in his career.

As for what’s next for Sean O’Malley, he did call out Ilia Topuria, but he says he’s also fine fighting Merab Dvalishvili who he ran into backstage but wasn’t even aware it was him.

“Merab came up to me and said ‘Congratulations’, I said ‘Thank You’ I thought it was a fan, I didn’t even recognize him,” O’Malley added. “Then, he said ‘You got to say my name.’ I was like ‘Oh shit, that’s Merab’ I didn’t realize I thought it was someone saying good job. The dude’s nose was so crooked. Merab very well 100 percent could be next. If Merab is next, I’d love to do in The Sphere in Vegas, if Ilia is next I’d love to do it in Spain.”

Regardless, Sean O’Malley is hoping to defend his bantamweight title for a long time and is open to whoever next time out.
