Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card adds former Bellator champ vs. former Jorge Masvidal rival

The upcoming Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card continues to add huge fights, most recently in the form of a former Bellator champion.

UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey’s return to the cage against Gina Carano is gaining traction just weeks ahead of the highly-anticipated event.

Rousey, who returns to MMA following nearly a decade away from the sport, will face Carano in a matchup of two women’s MMA pioneers in Los Angeles. Carano, 43, will fight for the first time since an August 2009 loss to Cris Cyborg, the lone defeat of her legendary career.

In addition to Rousey vs. Carano, the upcoming card features the returns of former UFC stars Nate Diaz and Francis Ngannou in separate fights. Diaz will fight Bare Knuckle FC superstar Mike Perry, while Ngannou fights Philipe Lins in his first MMA fight since parting ways with the PFL.

The three fights mentioned above will be accompanied by the return of a former The Ultimate Fighter standout and former Bellator welterweight champion.

Jason Jackson vs. Lorenz Larkin added to Ronda Rousey/Gina Carano card

As reported by MMA Mania‘s Alex Behunin, former Bellator welterweight titleholder Jason Jackson will fight Lorenz Larkin on the Rousey vs. Carano undercard. As of this writing, MVP hasn’t officially announced the fight’s addition to the May 16th card.

Jackson returns to the cage for the first time since a split decision loss to Thad Jean in the 2025 PFL World Tournament semifinals. After losing the Bellator welterweight title to Ramazan Kuramagomedov in June 2024, Jackson bounced back with a second-round submission of Andrey Koreshkov last April.

Meanwhile, Larkin returns to the cage after wins in three of his last four fights, including a first-round knockout over Levan Chokheli in September 2024. The former UFC and Strikeforce star has earned wins over the likes of Jorge Masvidal, Robbie Lawler, and Neil Magny during his MMA career.

The full Rousey vs. Carano fight lineup is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
