With all the recent talks of Anderson Silva vs. Every Other Champion In the UFC, one super-fight that actually has a better shot at transpiring is the Ronda Rousey vs. Cris “Cyborg” bout. The hang up in this fight is the weight-class. Ronda Rousey currently holds Strikeforce gold at 135 pounds. “Cyborg” on the other hand held onto her championship reign at 145 pounds before being stripped of her title for performance enhancing drugs.

“I get the call this morning that he’s been arrested in his hotel room, I go straight to the police, the sheriff’s department here and start putting the pieces together on what’s going on and how to fix it. I’m sure you could tell by my tweeting I was 100-percent confident that I was going to get him out for this fight. “Basically what happened is they do not like him in Des Moines, Iowa where this warrant is from. Basically, they’re going to extradite him, one of those situations, or not we’ll see what happens with this whole thing, but the kid’s been here since Monday no secret that he was going to be here. They arrest him at almost noontime on Friday after he weighs in yesterday and everything else. In my opinion after dealing with this all day, that was done on purpose.”

Last night on FX the UFC held a stellar card full of drama and upsets. From Jeremy Stephens remaining in jail and unable to perform, to Travis Browne blowing out his knee in the midst of a high kick, the UFC on FX event left us with many story lines this morning.

In the statement the champion stated clearly that the UFC brass did not notify him of the UFC 151 cancellation and while the champ admits, it may not have made a difference in his decision process, it was information that should have been passed on.
