Former UFC welterweight, Marcus Davis returned to action last Thursday under the Bellator banner. During his brief return to action, he allegedly landed an illegal groin shot that disabled his opponent and left him unable to continue.

Headline heavyweights Tyrone Spong (68-6-1 42 KO’s) and Remy Bonjasky (77-15, 40 KO’s) got nose-to-nose at today’s official weigh-ins for GLORY 5 London. Their face-off had an extra level of intensity added to it as Spong arrived late for the weigh-in and kept Bonjasky standing around waiting. The decorated veteran felt he had not been af! forded the respect he deserved and Spong received a good dose of evil eye as he finally strolled in to take the scales.

An injury has forced Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy (25-10 MMA, 6-4 UFC) to pull out of his scheduled bout with Matt Brown (16-11 MMA, 6-5 UFC) at UFC on FOX 7 next month. Stepping in to fill the void will be Canadian welterweight Jordan “Young Gun” Mein (27-8 MMA, 1-0 UFC), who makes a quick return to action, fresh off his UFC debut win over Dan Miller at UFC 158.

Chael Sonnen is a more than just a UFC Tonight analyst and fighter, he’s also a talented poet. In fact, Sonnen wrote a poem for Jon Jones that shows exactly what he’s got in store for him at UFC 159. He said, ‘Chael, whatever’s in the account, take it, it’s all for you.’ I thought for a moment and I said, ‘I’ll tell you what, Uncle D. ‘For you and the fans, this one’s on me.’ So I went and did some homework, I got some tapes of his fights. I suggest you all give them a try, if you’re having trouble sleeping at night. They tell me he’s good, but I know that can’t be true, I saw him get armbarred by Vitor, and he’s 52! He’s so boring he made Machida fall asleep. The snoozefest he had against Rashad, or beating up on Bonnar, who’s older than God? Look, here’s the truth, believe me it is. Don’t even mention Ryan Bader, he lost to Tito Ortizz! Jon, I’m coming to New Jersey, because I’ve got a job to do. I’m a fully-loaded cannon, boy, and I’m pointed right at you. A little advice, go get in your car and hit another tree. Do whatever you gotta do to stay away Jon, you don’t want to fight me.
