Cyborg: 'Ronda Knows Carano Would Be An Easy Fight'
BJPENN.COM News - March 22, 2014
“I wasn’t surprised because I knew how tough is for Gina to go down to 135, so (this fight) would need to be a catchweight. Gina Carano is a great athlete and I’d happy if she returns to MMA, doesn’t matter if it’s against Ronda. But she hasn’t fought since 2009. Her last fight was against me at Strikeforce, so I believe that Ronda thinks it’s such an easy fight that she would even move up. She knows that it would be different against me, especially because I already defeated Gina. They both are great athletes and have chances to win, but Gina Carano hasn’t fought for four years so she’s not in a good rhythm.” In a recent interview with MMAFighting.com, Cris Cyborg, discussed the revelation that Ronda Rousey would move up in weight to fight Gina Carano, but not her.

BJPENN.COM News - March 21, 2014
When bad reffing strikes, the fighters always pay the price. And this time Bellator Heavyweight fighter Frederick Brown definitely paid the price when the ref stopped the fight 10-15 seconds late… debatably. He was knocked out by Daniel Gallemore in the first round, at 1 minute 32 seconds during tonight’s Bellator 113 event.

BJPENN.COM News - March 21, 2014
New technology allows cars to detect the emotions of their drivers. The system uses an infrared camera to determine if you’re upset and warn you about it. The people at Chevy know how to use technology like this. Instead of installing a system that senses anger, they’ve been working on a vehicle that acts on it. In this demonstration, Chuck Liddell goes nuts on a fellow driver. WOW!
Bas Rutten On The Fight That Got Away
BJPENN.COM News - March 21, 2014
“Rickson Gracie. At the time everyone was saying he was the greatest so I actually challenged him. People twisted the whole thing and tried to say it was because I didn’t like him. But I had nothing against him, I just wanted to find out who was the best. “And I would have loved another rematch against Ken [Shamrock], after improving my ground skills. It almost happened in Pride, and I would have come out of retirement, but he declined. He said we’d already done it twice and didn’t need a third.” Bas Rutten will go down as one of the pioneers on our beloved sport of Mixed Martial Arts. A true legend from the old school, who still manages to keep his name relevant through a successful career in Hollywood.

Bellator Champ Newton: 'Bellator Will Surpass The UFC'
BJPENN.COM News - March 20, 2014
“I just see Bellator definitely surpassing UFC. It’s already happening. [The UFC] is not very personable with the fighters. They don’t really have the fans understanding what the fighters went through, understanding their camps. I think Bellator does that very well. They really follow the fighters, so it makes the fans fall in love more — kinda like the WWE, the soap opera storyline, but this is not fake. Fighters aren’t coming out of the woodwork from nowhere, and all of a sudden being spectacular fighters. You watch Bellator shows and you know there’s always finishes. You watch UFC and sometimes it’s just boring. Granted, the UFC can put on a lot of good fights too, but I’d much rather watch Bellator than UFC.” Bellator’s interim light-heavyweight champion, Emanuel Newton, is doing his best at playing company man when comparing his employer to, MMA’s leading promotion, the UFC.
Chandler Vows To Finish Alvarez, Says Eddie Doesn't Even Believe He Won Their Last Fight
BJPENN.COM News - March 20, 2014
“I’m going to continue to come forward. That’s what I do. Eddie is going to continue to try to be slick and use his footwork, but I will get my hands on him and I will finish this fight. That’s my goal. I think I continue to prove to everybody that if you leave it in the hands of judges anything can happen. Bad things can happen… I think Eddie didn’t believe he won the fight. I think his coaches didn’t believe he won the fight. I think his family there in the stands didn’t believe he won the fight. You could tell by everyone’s reaction. His coaches told him he had to finish me going into that fifth round so they believed he was down on the scorecards.” In a recent interview with Sherdog.com, former Bellator lightweight champion, Michael Chandler, discussed his upcoming trilogy bout against current champ, Eddie Alvarez.
