Fighters react to Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson's TKO of Johny Hendricks

It was a matchup of styles in the main event of UFC Fight Night 82 featuring former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks and rising star Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. Hendricks who is a former NCAA Division I All American and champion faced the former world champion kickboxer Thompson. Hendricks failed to implement his strengths as a wrestler to get the fight to the ground and faced the consequences of Thompson’s superior striking getting finished in the first round. Hilo, Hawaii’s UFC Hall of Fame legend BJ Penn recently announced his decision to come out of retirement for a run in the UFC’s stacked 145-pound division. Penn, who was expected to be back for his return to fight at UFC 196 on March 5, hit a slight speed bump in his road back to the Octagon.
