After Rousey made the statement, many members of the combat sports community poured out their support for Rousey, revealing they know the devastation after a loss.

While Conor McGregor is slated to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 196 on March 5th, he has his sights set of Nick Diaz in the future. At the UFC 196 press conference on Wednesday, McGregor repeatedly used the microphone to make statements towards Nick Diaz, who was not on stage but was at the event. In addition, McGregor referred to Nate Diaz as “Nick’s lil bro” several times throughout the event.

Everyone knew Conor McGregor’s UFC 196 fight with Nate Diaz would include quite a bit of trash talk. However, with that being said no one could have predicted that a fan would take things this far. A fan posted a photo of himself wielding an AK-47 on Twitter along with several Tweets warning McGregor to “be careful” following the UFC 196 press conference Wednesday afternoon.

According to Sonnen, the UFC 196 main event fight between McGregor and Diaz was set at 170-pounds so that the UFC can promote a welterweight title fight between “Mystic Mac” and Robbie Lawler later this year at UFC 200.

Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos were initially slated to fight in the main event of UFC 196 on March 5th for the UFC lightweight title. Unfortunately, dos Anjos broke his foot earlier this week and was forced out of the bout. Ultimately the UFC selected Nate Diaz as a fill-in opponent, and the bout was moved from lightweight to welterweight.

Wednesday afternoon at the UFC 196 press conference in California, Conor McGregor threw some verbal jabs at Rafael dos Anjos, Frankie Edgar, and Jose Aldo. McGregor taunted dos Anjos for pulling out of the fight with a ‘bruised foot’, as well as taunting Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo for not accepting the fight after campaigning for it for so long.
