UFN 84 Results: Michael Bisping shocks the world and defeats “The Spider”

The main event of UFC Fight Night 84 in London featured former UFC middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva (33-7 MMA) taking on hometown hero and perennial contender Michael “The Count” Bisping (29-7 MMA). Round one begins and Bisping presses forward with a jab. Anderson is circling. Michael throws a head kick but just misses. Leg kick from Bisping partially lands. Silva is using a lot of movement. Bisping is coming forward and lands a hook and then a jab. Nice kicks from Bisping score. Good right hand and then a leg kick by “The Count”. Anderson responds with a front kick. Bisping misses with a high kick. Silva comes forward but Bisping backs him up. Another head kick and then a right hand by Bisping. Silva looks a little frustrated. Nice shot by Bisping. Anderson is walking him down though. Leg kicks form Silva. Bisping replies with one oh his own. Good left and then a right by Bisping. Anderson counters with a shot of his own. Bisping moves forward and lands a shot to the body. He misses with a high kick. Good right hand by Bisping. Anderson got clipped. Wow. Silva fires back and the horn sounds.
UFN 84 Results: Gegard Mousasi defeats Thales Leites via decision

The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 84 showcased a middleweight scrap between former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi (38-6-2 MMA) and former UFC title challenger Thales Leites (25-6 MMA). Round one begins and Mousasi opens with a right hand. Leites eats it and shoots in for a takedown. Gegard holds him off at first but Thales now has a body lock. He tries to drag Mousasi to the floor but Gegard winds up on top. He quickly exits the guard of Leites. Nice right hand lands for Mousasi. Leites comes forward but eats a counter left from Gegard. Nice jab from Mousasi and he follows that with leg kick. Good punch from Leites but Gegard answers with back to back jabs. Nice leg kick from Mousasi. Leites returns fire with a solid leg kick of his own. Good jabs from Mousasi land crisp. Leites shoots for a takedown but Mousasi says no. Leites has him pressed against the fence and scores with a couple of knees to the body. Mousasi with the trip. He lands a nice shot from the top and stands back up. Under a minute remains. Good inside leg kick from Gegard. He follows that up with a jab. Round one comes to an end.
UFN 84 Results: Tom Breese defeats Keita Nakamura via decision

A welterweight bout between Tom Breese (10-0 MMA) and Keita Nakamura (31-7-2 MMA) took place during today’s UFC Fight Night 84 main card in London. Round one begins and Nakamura lands a body lock takedown. This is where Keita wants to have Breese. Round one ends and the biggest underdog on the card, Nakamura, is holding his own.
UFN 84 Results: Brad Pickett defeats Francisco Rivera via split-decision

The UFC Fight Night 84 main card kicked off with a bantamweight bout between Brad Pickett (25-11 MMA) and Francisco Rivera (11-6 MMA). Round one begins and Pickett opens with a leg kick that misses the mark. Good left hand lands for Rivera. Nice inside leg kick scores for Rivera. Good punches land for both men. Pickett with a solid leg kick and then a shot to the body of Rivera. Francisco responds with a good leg kick of his own. Pickett moving forward but he eats a leg kick and then an uppercut from Rivera. Nice right hand and then a head kick scores for Rivera. Francisco with a clean right that drops Pickett. Brad quickly gets back to his feet. Another nice punch, this time a hook, lands for Rivera. Spinning back kick attempt from Pickett partially connects. Nice left hook from Rivera drops Pickett. Brad hops up and starts throwing bombs. Both men with huge shots. Pickett with a takedown attempt. It’s stuffed. Round one comes to an end.

Given the ability of both men to hype fights with trash talk, McGregor vs. Diaz has everyone talking. It was revealed on Twitter yesterday that famed chef Gordon Ramsay, who is from Scotland, will be making a special trip to Las Vegas just for UFC 196 to support Conor McGregor.

After Nate Diaz was given the spot opposite Conor McGregor at UFC 196, UFC President Dana White revealed that Frankie Edgar was forced to turn the bout down due to a torn groin. After it was announced that Diaz had taken the fight on short notice, Edgar went off on the UFC for making it seem as though he refused the fight, when in reality he was unable to accept. Edgar went as far as to say that the ‘C’ in UFC stands for Conor.
