Three years ago today, Conor McGregor made his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage. McGregor, a two-division Cage Warriors champion at the time of his UFC debut, had quite a bit of hype behind him as he made his UFC debut, and he did not disappoint. McGregor landed numerous uppercuts on Brimage, showcasing his impressive counter striking ability as he became the first man to stop Marcus Brimage with strikes.

It appears that Conor McGregor has officially started his camp for the rematch with Nate Diaz slated for the main event of UFC 200 that takes place on July 9th in Las Vegas, Nevada. McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh posted this photo with the caption saying, “The road to #ufc200 starts today…3yrs to the day from debut.”

Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris had to be carried out on a stretcher after his fight with Kimbo Slice at Bellator 149. It was for good reason. Harris suffered multiple severe health conditions after the fight and was in critical condition. According to a post on Harris’ Facebook page, he was hospitalized for nearly two weeks after the Feb. 19 bout with Slice.

Last week news broke that UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier had been forced out of his UFC 197 main event bout with Jon Jones on April 23rd due to an injury sustained in training. The UFC ultimately selected Ovince Saint Preux as a fill-in opponent against Jones, and made the bout for the interim championship while Cormier took 5-6 weeks to recover.

While it didn’t take long for fan favorite fighter Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone to offer to fill-in on short notice to fight Khabib, UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is now offering to fight Khabib in order to attempt to avenge his 2014 loss to ‘The Eagle’.

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier shocked a lot of people when he offered to help train Ovince Saint Preux in his interim light heavyweight championship fight against former champion Jon Jones at UFC 197. Saint Preux, who serves as a replacement for an injured Cormier politely declined the champ’s offer saying, “Definitely appreciate the invitation, but I think with everything we’ve got going on over here… My coach came up with a solid game plan and I think we definitely gonna be okay.”

Last month UFC pound for pound kingpin Jon Jones was given 5 traffic citations. Among them was a ticket for drag racing, something Jones has maintained he was falsely accused of. A video from Officer Jason Brown’s body camera was released, showing Jones and the officer engaging in an aggressive verbal battle that saw Jones repeatedly maintain his innocence.
