Back in March, Mark Hunt picked up yet another walk-off KO as he defeated Frank Mir in the first round of their ‘UFC FN: Sydney’ main event scrap. After the bout, news surfaced that Mir had failed a drug test that was taken after his loss to Hunt. Mir adamantly denied that he took any performance enhancing drugs, and revealed that if he were to be suspended for 2 years he would retire from MMA.

Dillashaw left Team Alpha Male to train with Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig at Ludwig Martial Arts, and at Elevation Fight Team, there has certainly been no love lost between he and former mentor Urijah Faber. While promoting his upcoming UFC 199 trilogy fight with Dominick Cruz, Faber event went as far as to say that Dillashaw looks like a “prepubescent little teenager” because “USADA came in”, implying that Dillashaw’s physique changed due to an increase in random out-of-competition drug testing.

While it’s no secret that Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate have been credited as being two of the most attractive women in sports, a new UFC star is now being listed as one of the “Top 99 women of 2016”. On AskMen.com‘s annual “Crush List”, WMMA pioneer Gina Carano ranked at #51, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate was ranked at #34, while former champion Ronda Rousey was ranked at #13.

USADA has been frequenting UFC title contender Claudia Gadelha’s house, apparently testing the TUF coach twice in less than one week. Gadelha posted a photo late last week showing that USADA has paid her a visit for a test. Wanderlei Silva hit by car, will undergo surgery

Tragic news surfaced Wednesday afternoon that former PRIDE FC champion Wanderlei Silva had been hit by a car on his way home from the gym and would need to undergo surgery. While details weren’t given as to the nature of the injury to Silva’s shoulder, it was asked that fans pray for Silva as he underwent surgery.

Tuesday night tragic news surfaced that Anderson Silva had been rushed to the hospital after falling ill. Unfortunately for the former middleweight champion, he was forced to withdraw from his UFC 198 bout with Uriah Hall this weekend due to gallbladder issues. On Wednesday, Silva underwent surgery to have his gallbladder removed, and was comfortably resting at the hospital with hopes of being released on Friday.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has succumbed to make some changes to her autobiography to avoid a defamation lawsuit from her ex-manager Darin Harvey, according to Yahoo! Sports. Harvey claimed in a statement, ” … During the four years we worked together, Ronda easily won all her amateur fights, went 8-0 as a professional, became the first woman to sign with the UFC, and landed roles in several feature films. Her book failed to acknowledge the important role I played in all of that and, in my view, defamed me in several respects.”

Penn’s originally scheduled opponent, Dennis Siver, pulled out of the fight due to suffering an injury. Now, with just over three weeks out from the fight, Penn is without an opponent.

McGregor tweeted that he was retired, which was followed up by an announcement from the UFC that McGregor had been pulled from the event after refusing to fulfill his obligations.
