The MMA community currently going wild in regards to a potential Georges St-Pierre return to the UFC. After nearly a 3 year hiatus from the Octagon following his UFC 167 split decision win over Johny Hendricks, St-Pierre’s camp reached out to Michael Bisping to request a title shot against the middleweight champ. Bisping broke the news on a recent episode of Fox Sports Live with Jay & Dan, during which he also gave his thoughts on a fight with GSP:

In the main event of UFC 199, Michael Bisping knocked out Luke Rockhold to claim the UFC middleweight championship. While many want to see a rematch with Luke Rockhold, or even a rematch with Dan Henderson for Bisping’s first title defense, former welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre is reportedly interested in returning to the Octagon for a fight with Bisping. On a recent episode of Fox Sports Live with Jay & Dan, Bisping revealed that GSP’s camp actually reached out to request a title fight against the champ:

Earlier this month, Michael Bisping knocked out Luke Rockhold in the main event of UFC 199 to claim the UFC middleweight champion. On the same card, MMA legend Dan Henderson knocked out Hector Lombard with a brutal elbow. Given that Henderson scored one of the most iconic knockouts of all time at UFC 100 when he knocked out Michael Bisping, many wanted to see the pair fight one last time, this time for the middleweight belt. Both men want to fight again for the middleweight championship, and many fans want to see the rematch. During a recent appearance on Fox Sports Live with Jay & Dan, Bisping talked about the situation.

Alexander Gustafsson has a new fight booked and will return to the Octagon at UFC Fight Night in Hamburg, Germany on September 3. The UFC announced late Thursday that Gustaffson will face Jan Blachowicz in a light heavyweight bout.

Since Michael Bisping won the UFC middleweight championship by knocking out Luke Rockhold earlier this month, there have been reports of both men wanting to fight each other.

Strawweight rivals Claudia Gadelha and Joanna Jedrzejczyk have been in each other’s faces for the entire season of TUF 23. The two are set to rematch, this time for Jedrzejczyk’s UFC strawweight title after the two fought to a split-decision back in 2014, with Jedrzejczyk walking out with the victory.

Grad’s recollection of the situation was far from good, as he called out Northcutt’s father for interfering with their training. While video footage of the sparring session in question has since surfaced, Northcutt and his father have remained silent regarding the situation, until now that is.

Surprising news surfaced last month that Bellator MMA lightweight champion Will Brooks had been released by the promotion, and would become a free agent in the MMA market. This week Brooks revealed that he and the UFC had reached an agreement, and that he had signed with the UFC. In addition, it was revealed that Brooks would be making his UFC debut at the TUF 23 finale on July 8th against Ross Pearson.

The news of the potential sale of the UFC picked up once again earlier this week as it was announced that the sale was “definitely progressing” with no terms being given. Now, according to Dave Meltzer the bidding for the promotion is going to end above $4 billion and would see a complete transfer of ownership from the Fertitta brothers to the highest bidder.
