Who Do You Think Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza Should Fight Next?

Tom Taylor - August 31, 2016

In May of this year, UFC middleweight Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (23-4) pummelled Vitor Belfort en route to a fantastic, first-round TKO. The win pushed the talented grappler to a fantastic 9-1 in his last 10–a controversial loss to Yoel Romero being his only hiccup in that stretch. In the wake of his defeat of Belfort, Jacare spent some time on the shelf with an injury. But according to a Tuesday Instagram post, he’s now recovered, and he wants to know who you’d like to see him fight next.

Should he pass that test, Chandler can then look forward to a scrap with another UFC veteran in Josh Thompson, and perhaps even to a scrap with former Bellator featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire. Yet on his Monday appearance on The MMA Hour, Chandler explained to host Ariel Helwani that his big-ticket possibilities don’t end there either. Instead, he said he’d be interested in a possible move up to 170lbs to fight recent Bellator signee Rory MacDonald.
