UFC Freedom 250 Results: Mauricio Ruffy KO’s Michael Chandler (Video)

Tonight’s UFC Freedom 250 event features a highly anticipated lightweight contest between Mauricio Ruffy and Michael Chandler.

Ruffy (13-2 MMA) was most previously seen in action this past February at UFC 325, where he scored a second-round TKO victory over Rafael Fiziev. Prior to that triumph, ‘One Shot’ had suffered a submission defeat to Benoit Saint Denis.

Meanwhile, Michael Chandler (23-10 MMA) will enter tonight’s contest looking to snap a three-fight losing skid. ‘Iron’ is coming off defeats to Paddy Pimblett, Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier respectively. Prior to that rough stretch, Chandler was coming off a knockout win over Tony Ferguson in May of 2022.

Round one of this UFC Freedom 250 lightweight contest begins and Mauricio Ruffy takes the center of the Octagon. Michael Chandler circles along the outside and lands a low kick. He leaps in with a left hand that misses. A nice jab and then a good low kick from ‘One Shot’. A stiff jab sends Chandler backwards. A right hand over the top partially connects. ‘Iron’ looks for a single leg. Ruffy avoids and cracks him with a left. A spinning kick to the body misses. Chandler leaps in with a right hand that partially connects. Ruffy circles out and gets back to range. Another failed shot attempt from the former Bellator champion. A good jab from Mauricio Ruffy. A big right and then a spinning wheel kick to the head. Another shot and Chandler is down. He gets up but eats another right. ‘Iron’ shoots but is denied. A good left hook from Ruffy. Now another spinning wheel kick. Chandler is down again. Big follow up shots. This one is all over! WOW!
