Mario Bautista is locked in and dedicated heading into UFC 329, but that is something that’s consistent throughout his whole career, per a training partner at The MMA Lab.

This was touched on by Bryan Battle, who prepares to fight Dalton Rosta in the headliner of PFL Charlotte on August 7th. Battle trains with some of the best in mixed martial arts, and Mario Bautista is someone who stands out among a stacked gym at The MMA Lab. When asked for his thoughts on the Cory Sandhagen rematch set for UFC 329, Battle said [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“That whole card, I mean international fight week is always huge. So granted I’m in the room with Mario. Granted we’re on different ends of the weight spectrum. So all I can tell you is that he looks really, really sharp. You know what I’m saying? Coach [John] Crouch, all the guys over there, it’s the system they got, like the way they’re running that program is really top notch.”

“Mario, he’s been putting in work. He’s one of those guys where it’s like, I feel like every time I show up, he’s already there. You know what I’m saying [laughs]? Like, I could be showing up. Granted, I haven’t done this, but like I feel like I could show up at the ass crack of dawn and he’d be in there on a f***ing assault bike [bike noises], You know what I’m saying? So, he’s putting in the work. You know what I’m saying? He looks good, so.”

Mario Bautista will “be hunting for that finish” and expects “an exciting fight” at UFC 329

Turning focus to the man in the arena himself, breaking down this chance at redemption against the first man to hand him a loss in MMA, Cory Sandhagen, on July 11th, Bautista stated [via Home of Fight],

“I’m gonna be hunting that finish. I think it’s obvious where he’s not really the best, which is on the mat…I’m gonna be hunting for that finish. Pushing hard. We got three rounds. So I’m gonna have to get on the gas right away…I can’t just let him get away with a decision and run around or anything. I think it’s gonna be an exciting fight.”
