Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is currently gearing up for his highly anticipated showdown with Daniel Cormier on July 29th at UFC 214.
Ahead of the fight however, both Jones and Cormier have continued their bitter rivalry. Despite the fact that no press conferences for the fight have been held, the two men have taken their war of words to social media, where things have grown increasingly tense leading up to the fight.
The latest jab comes from Jones, who posted a picture of himself to Instagram mocking Daniel Cormier’s controversial UFC 210 weigh-in, where he used the privacy towel to offset his weight and make the light heavyweight title fight limit of 205 pounds without cutting the extra weight.
This of course comes on the heels of the pair engaging in a bitter social media feud recently, which saw Jones jump into the comments of Cormier’s Instagram post to bash the champ in a string of comments, which Cormier then reposted with a message of his own.
And they say I'm obsessed. Dance for me boy, keep commenting on all my shit. Watch me work. Show those insecurities. In your moment of judgement you pay close attention to the one that's handing out the punishment. You got two weeks. Play my game! P.S You have a limp Dick and Horrible leg Genetics. #andstill #twoweeks #downgoesjones #urdonejonnyboy
Tune in July 29th to see the pair throw down in the main event of UFC 214 to settle the dispute of the true 205 pound champion.
