Georges St-Pierre can’t see himself fighting again, as he says his hunger to fight is no longer there.

St-Pierre hasn’t fought since UFC 217 when he won the middleweight title from Michael Bisping. However, shortly after that historic victory, GSP stepped away from the game due to health reasons. Since then, many fans have wondered if the Canadian would ever return to the Octagon again.

Georges St-Pierre was rumored to be linked to a potential fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, but it never came to fruition. Now, with UFC 300 set for April, some fans wondered if St-Pierre would return, similar to how Brock Lesnar returned at UFC 200.

However, according to Georges St-Pierre, he was never offered a return fight at UFC 300 and doesn’t see himself competing again.

“It’s a rumor, I never was offered a fight (for UFC 300). I made that clear that I have no desire to come back and fight in mixed martial arts,” St-Pierre said during a Q&A with BangTao Muay Thai & MMA in Thailand. “I was supposed to compete in grappling, but because I had an injury in November, I partially tore my labrum and rotator cuff. I’m still not recovered so there is things I can not do like live wrestling, live grappling. I have to be very careful, I can hit pads, but I’m not fully recovered yet. So, for me, the grappling was just for fun. There was less risk and it was more to have the thrill of competition again, and also for the fans, it would be a win-win situation for everybody.

“Now, there is nothing on the radar, I need time because shoulder injuries take incredibly long to recover and it’s a pain in the butt. Everything I say is open to interpretation, if I let the door open, everybody is saying he’s planning a comeback. I’d rather say there is nothing on the radar. I don’t know if there is something for a charity that comes out or one day, but that is not what I’m focusing on. I’m 42 years old and I’m not the same person I used to be when I was competing… That hunger is gone and when that hunger is gone it is a sign you need to retire,” St-Pierre continued.

As St-Pierre says, he did suffer an injury training for his grappling match, which was supposed to be against Nick Diaz. Due to the injury, the Canadian couldn’t train properly which hindered his chance of training or competing in MMA.

If Georges St-Pierre doesn’t fight again, he would end his MMA career with a record of 26-2. He’s the former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion and is one of the greatest MMA fighters of all-time.
