Shortly after he won the UFC interim welterweight title with a unanimous decision defeat of Rafael dos Anjos, Colby Covington joined a panel of Karyn Bryant, Michelle Waterson, Kenny Florian and Michael Bisping on the FS1 UFC 225 post-fight show. While the new champ probably expected a few typical post-fight questions, what he got instead was some serious hostility from Bisping.

From his station at the analysts’ desk, Bisping called Covington a “prick,” and gave him a few unsolicited critiques. Unsurprisingly, Covington did not take kindly to Bisping’s comments.

The new champ fired back at the Brit on the latest episode of BJPENN.COM Radio.

“That was a complete joke,” Covington said of Bisping’s verbal attack. “That little one-eyed British chump man. He’s just acting unprofessional. They guy did way worse shit [than I have]. He was burning Cuban flags, he’s doing way worse shit and he wants to say ‘Oh, you’re wearing sunglasses inside?’. Dude, you used to wear sunglasses inside at all your interviews. The guy’s a fake. He’s all salty that his coach Jason Parillo couldn’t get the job done against me. And you know he knows that I’m the future now, and he’s a thing of the past. What Bisping did was completely unprofessional. He’s a little one-eyed chump. If I gotta win on Woodley, we can always do this tag team style. Those little desk bitches can come see me and my boy Jorge Masvidal. But they don’t want that work. It would be like 1776 all over again.”

As Covington suggests, his good friend and training partner Jorge Masvidal has also had some issues with Bisping in the past.

“It could be in a McDonald’s parking lot, I don’t give three fucks, bro,” Masvidal said on a recent episode of BJPENN.COM Radio, speaking of his desire to fight Bisping. “He knows it, he’s just a punk man.”

What did you think of Colby Covington’s exchange with Michael Bisping on the FS1 UFC 225 post-fight show?
