Jon Jones disappointed in Dana White’s UFC Freedom 250 claim: “How f****** painful”

Jon Jones has expressed disappointment in Dana White following recent claims after the UFC Freedom 250 announcement.
During Saturday’s UFC 326 broadcast, the card for Freedom 250 was revealed. The headliner will be an undisputed lightweight title fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. An interim UFC heavyweight title bout between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane will serve as the co-headliner for the White House event.
Fans noticed that Jones was absent from the card, and White addressed it during the UFC 326 post-fight presser. The UFC boss claimed “Bones” was never considered for Freedom 250.
Jones hopped on his X account to respond to White in a series of deleted tweets, and he is not happy about what White said.
“So all of this negotiating was complete bullsh*t, is that what you want me to agree to publicly? Man, how f*cking painful,” Jones wrote. “Laying in my bed, wrapping my head around this perception.”
White told reporters that he’s under the belief that Jones needs a hip replacement and he’s likely done with prizefighting (h/t MMAJunkie).
“Never, ever, ever – which I told you guys 100,000 times – was Jon Jones ever even remotely in my mind to fight at the White House,” White told MMA Junkie and other reporters backstage after UFC 326. “… Jon Jones retired because of his hips. He’s got arthritis in his hips. Apparently, doctors say he should have hip replacements.”
Later on in the press conference, White made another claim that he informed Jones’ lawyer that a spot on the Freedom 250 card was never on the table.
“The Jon Jones thing is bullsh*t,” White said. “I’m not saying they weren’t talking to Jon Jones and that Jon Jones wasn’t interested in the fight. What was even crazier was Jon Jones came out and was like ‘I’m in negotiations right now for the White House card,’ after I had already sent a text to his lawyer saying, ‘Never going to happen ever.'”
