UFC boss Dana White has given his thoughts on Carlos Ulberg’s sensational title triumph at UFC 327 last night.

In the main event of UFC 237, Carlos Ulberg finally reached the top of the mountain. He was able to pick up a blockbuster win over Jiri Prochazka, knocking the former world champion out on what was essentially one leg. While a big focus is on how Jiri bounces back from this disappointing result, and how he let it slip through his fingers, Carlos deserves some praise, too.

Ulberg is a guy who has always been seen as a potential contender, but he has never quite been able to go the next mile to really assert himself in the title picture. Last night, all of that changed, and Carlos put Jiri to the sword.

In his post-fight media scrum, Dana White had the following to say about Ulberg’s huge win over Prochazka.

White’s view on Ulberg’s victory

“Crazy, yeah, I men the fight was over. But yeah, I guess it ain’t over til it’s over.”

“I didn’t necessarily feel that [Jiri taking his foot off the gas]. He was doing this and that, you know. If a guy gets hurt, you got to finish him until the ref comes in and stops it.”

Ulberg will now look ahead to when he can defend the belt for the first time, but at this moment, there will be a lot of partying taking place in Miami over the coming days as Carlos enjoys a moment that can never be takey away from him.
