Danis has been a staple in McGregor’s camp during his preparation for his rematch with Diaz. McGregor, who stands at 5’9, looks several inches shorter than Danis in the picture, but also looks incredibly muscular.

I’m spinning a taekwondo plate. I’m spinning a jiujitsu plate. I’m spinning a freestyle wrestling plate. I’m spinning a karate plate. There are so many spinning plates in this game. If I was to put all of them down and have one boxing plate spinning, it would be like a load off my shoulders.”

In the second round, McGregor was rocked, and shot in for a takedown against Diaz, which ultimately led to him being submitted via rear-naked choke. In the wake of the fight, many began criticizing McGregor for what they believed to be a weak Jiu-Jitsu game. Ahead of his UFC 202 rematch against Nate Diaz, McGregor brought in Jiu-Jitsu world champion Dillon Danis to help him train for the event.
