Conor McGregor is still dealing with a six-month driving ban for repeated speeding infractions, but he was able to dodge another driving-related charge in court in Dublin on Monday. The Irish MMA superstar was appearing court after being accused of driving without a license or insurance when stopped by the police in July. Because he was unable to produce these documents when he was pulled over, he was charged with driving without documentation. McGregor, of course, was licensed at the time, and was able to produce all the required documents and paperwork to indicate this fact ahead of his hearing. As a result, all charges were dropped (h/t RT.com).

Conor McGregor’s punishment from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) will not be handed down on Monday as expected. McGregor was granted a continuance in his case for the UFC 229 melee, according to MMAFighting. Meaning, McGregor’s hearing that was expected to take place on Monday has been postponed. As well, there is no timeframe for when the hearing will be reorganized.

Back in April, in the lead-up to UFC 223, former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor touched down in Brooklyn, New York and all hell broke loose. The Irish MMA star launched a frenzied attack on a shuttle bus carrying a number of UFC 223 fighters, and ultimately hurled a dolly through the bus window, injuring several of the fighters on board. One of those fighters was Michael Chiesa, who sustained facial lacerations from the shattered glass. Chiesa’s injuries were significant enough that he was subsequently pulled from his planned UFC 223 fight with Anthony Pettis.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor are both currently under suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), this for the melee that occurred after UFC 229. A final hearing to determine their punishments is set for December 10. What the NSAC plans to do remains a mystery. The most extreme punishment would be to strip both fighters of their respective licenses, this in addition to issuing fines and lengthy suspensions. Ultimately, that seems unlikely to happen.

Earlier this week, news surfaced that former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor had been handed a six-month driving ban. This ban is due to the former champ’s excessive speeding near his home city of Dublin. He was also fined 1,000 euro ($1136.62) for the incident. According to a report from the BBC, Conor McGregor “admitted to driving his Range Rover at 154kph (96mph) in a 100kph (62mph) zone near Kill, County Kildare, in October 2017.” This latest infraction follows a significant 12 other traffic violations that reportedly date back to his teenage years.
