Conor McGregor sent a violent message to Max Holloway ahead of his return at UFC 329.

McGregor is set to end his five-year-long-layoff in the main event of UFC 329 on Saturday in a highly anticipated welterweight bout against Holloway. Although the Irishman enters the bout as the underdog, he has full confidence that he will be able to beat Holloway and plans to do it violently.

“I plan to contort Max’s body in such uncomfortable positions, and have my way with him, and that’s it,” McGregor said at UFC 329 media day.

If McGregor can go out and beat Holloway and do what he says, it would be a statement win and remind everyone he’s still an elite fighter.

Conor McGregor questions people doubting his hunger ahead of UFC 329

However, defeating Holloway is easier said than done, but the Irishman has full confidence. And, even though Conor McGregor hasn’t fought in five years, he makes it clear he has the hunger and fire inside him to compete and fight.

“Max is a great dance partner, a great opponent. It’s a great opponent. … If I didn’t have the fire or the hunger, yet I’m up against one of the most active bodies in the fight game in Max Holloway,” McGregor said. “I just think it’s silly to say this. The challenge is colossal. The challenge ahead of me is colossal. I’m entering with supreme confidence. It’s magnificent; the fire is in my belly roaring, and it’s about to be released on Saturday night.”

As McGregor notes, Holloway has been one of the most active elite fighters in the UFC, which makes this a difficult fight. But the Irishman is ready to prove the doubters and oddsmakers wrong and prove the time off didn’t impact him.
