After the fight Faber revealed that while he wasn’t ready to commit to retirement, he was going to take some time away from MMA. In addition, Faber told the world to watch out for some up-and-coming fighters out of his gym, including Cody Garbrandt.

“He’s trying to put a fight between me and Faber, because he’s scared to fight me,” said Garbrandt, who was at the event as a UFC guest. “He knows I’d knock him out. I’m already in the champ’s head.”
