Chael Sonnen rips former opponent Tito Ortiz following his victory over Silva

Chael Sonnen discusses Tito Ortiz loss

Former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen picked up his first win since August of 2013 last night at Madison Square Garden, scoring a unanimous decision victory over bitter rival Wanderlei Silva in the main event of Bellator NYC.

The fight played out as many expected it would, with Sonnen utilizing his strong wrestling skills to keep the hard hitting “Axe Murderer” on his back for the majority of their fifteen minute scrap.

With that said, Wanderlei did have a couple of vintage moments in the fight, including a first-round knockdown of Sonnen after he landed a knee followed by a left hand.

Unfortunately for fans of Silva, “The Axe Murderer” was not able to capitalize on the knockdown and was ultimately defeated.

Before the fight started, Tito Ortiz, a former opponent of both Sonnen and Silva who happened to be sitting cage-side at the event, was spotted and heard chirping at “The American Gangster”.

Tito continued to throw insults towards Sonnen and his corner during the main event fight, at one point pointing and laughing at Chael saying “You got clipped” during the first-round break.

Shortly following his victory of “Wandy”, Sonnen took to his Twitter and proceeded to rip Tito Ortiz with the following:

“Still UNDEFEATED!”

“TITO?
Tito’s just a fat guy in a cheap suit screaming from a seat he can’t afford.
He quit the sport
He’s NOT RELEVANT”
