Adam Sor Dechapan planning wild finish for Enzo Clarisse at The Inner Circle

His older brother has been drilling him on it all camp. The head kick landed once already this year. Adam Sor Dechapan believes it lands again on May 8.
Malaysian-Thai standout Adam Sor Dechapan headlines the strawweight Muay Thai main event against French dynamo Enzo Clarisse at The Inner Circle, streaming live for members at live.onefc.com from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, May 8. The 18-year-old enters on a two-fight winning streak, including a head kick knockout of Walid Snoussi at ONE Friday Fights 141 in February, and carries 53 career wins into his third straight promotional appearance. A victory over Clarisse would push him closer to the US$100,000 main roster contract he has been chasing since joining ONE Championship.
The path here ran through a lesson. Adam dropped a decision to “Petsam” Nahyan Mohammed in their July 2025 rematch. That result forced a reset, and the adjustment has shown in his last two performances.
“The loss to ‘Petsam’ taught me a lot about emotional control and keeping my cool. I realized I can’t just stand there and trade based on pure emotion anymore,” he said.
“Once I adjusted that mindset, my performance in the last two fights improved significantly. I’m fighting much calmer now. I feel like I’ve finally found the blueprint for how I need to fight to win.”
Adam Sor Dechapan has studied Clarisse’s guard drop and built his camp around it
Adam Sor Dechapan knows exactly where the opening is. He watched the tape of Clarisse’s recent defeat to Jurai Ishii closely and found a pattern: the guard drops under pressure, and when it does, shots land clean.
This camp has been built around exploiting that tendency. His brother Aliff Sor Dechapan has been deeply involved in the preparation. He worked alongside Adam on the head kick and a double flying knee finish he has been looking to land for some time. Adam respects Clarisse’s power but is not adjusting his ambition.
“In his last fight, I noticed he couldn’t keep up with his opponent’s speed, and his guard dropped frequently, which led to him getting tagged repeatedly,” he said.
“For this fight, I’m going to use movement and feints to bait him into dropping his guard again, then capitalize with the weapons I’ve prepared. Aliff has been teaching me a lot of Muay Thai moves, especially that head kick. If I see him drop his guard, you’ll definitely see me go for it again.”
