George Jarvis plans to finish Rungrawee faster than before and silence his doubters at ONE Fight Night 44

He already finished him once. Now the Brit wants to do it quicker, cleaner, and with a message that reverberates all the way up to the title.
George Jarvis meets Rungrawee “Legatron” Sitsongpeenong in a lightweight Muay Thai rematch in the main event of ONE Fight Night 44 on Prime Video, broadcasting live in U.S. primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, June 26. Their first encounter at ONE Friday Fights 85 in November 2024 ended in a third-round knockout that earned Jarvis a US$100,000 contract. Since then, both men have challenged Regian “The Immortal” Eersel for ONE Lightweight Muay Thai gold, with neither walking away victorious.
Jarvis enters the rematch with a 28-5 record and no doubt about what Friday will produce. He studied Rungrawee after the first fight, noted no meaningful evolution in his game, and is planning to exploit the same patterns under greater urgency.
His confidence rests on a conditioning advantage that has defined his run through ONE Championship.
“I’m going into this fight confident. I’m going into this fight ready to do the same as what happened last time, if not even quicker and even better,” he said.
“I think he’s gonna be pretty much the same because he’s been fighting the same style, the same way, the same everything for the last 20 years. He’s not gonna suddenly become this new fighter. He can try new things, he can have certain tactics, but when the pressure gets applied, he’s always gonna go back to his ways.”
George Jarvis eyes an Regian Eersel rematch
George Jarvis built his rise through ONE Championship on an engine that does not stop. Sinsamut Klinmee, Mouhcine Chafi, and Rungrawee have all shared a ring with him and none of them could match his output across three rounds. He intends to demonstrate that again on Friday.
A first or second-round stoppage would carry a very specific message for a fighter who sits one win from the title conversation. Eersel needed five full rounds to beat Rungrawee. Jarvis wants to do it in a fraction of that time.
“If I can knock out Rungrawee in a round or two — within the three rounds — and Eersel’s just had a hard five rounds with him, it says it all, doesn’t it? So, no one can keep saying I’m not on that level,” he said.
“Everyone around me personally knows I’m on that level, and I just need to prove that to the rest of the people now.”
