Report: Fedor Emelianenko’s Daughter Assaulted After Criticism of Chechen Dictator

By Tom Taylor - October 12, 2016

Earlier this month, a report surfaced that the daughter of legendary heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko had been attacked and hospitalized in Moscow, Russia. These reports were later confirmed by BloodyElbow.com.

According to the initial report, Fedor’s daughter, who is just 16 years old, was assailed by unknown attackers on her walk home from school. After being admitted to the Research Institute of Children’s Emergency Surgery and Traumatology in Moscow, it was determined that the young Emelianenko had suffered a “contusion of the chest and abdomen,” – probably as the result of a kick to the chest.

This incident is rendered even more unfortunate by the fact that it is seemingly not random. The attack on Emelianenko’s daughter occured just days after the legendary fighter criticized Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov for hosting child MMA fights in Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic.

“What happened in Grozny is unacceptable & cannot be justified,” Fedor said in a social media post.

These comments from the Russian legend prompted backlash from a number of notable fighters, including World Series of Fighting flyweight king Magomed Bibulatov, and even top UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov, who both stood in favor of Kadyrov’s polarizing child fights.

Now, it’s looking more and more likely that the recent attack on Fedor’s daughter also stemmed from his anti-Kadyrov comments, which have since been deleted.

At the time of this writing, Fedor’s daughter has not identified her attackers. It is speculated that this is because she is scared.
