New UFC Champ Hendricks Wants A Rematch With GSP

By BJPENN.COM News - March 17, 2014

Fresh off his title-winning victory at Saturday’s UFC 171 event, newly minted welterweight champion, Johny Hendricks is already wanting to rewind it back and fight GSP in a rematch.

“…I’d like to fight Georges again. I think it would be fun. We had a good match,” said the UFC champ at the UFC 171 post-fight press-conference.

“I think I’m better. There’s better situations. I’m going to get stronger. (This) was only my second fight for five rounds. I’m only learning. (It’s only been) six and a half years. Look at all the guys I’m fighting, they all have eight, nine, twelve years, so I have a lot to learn still.”

Georges St-Pierre and Johny Hendricks fought to a razor close decision last year and GSP vacated his belt shortly after.
