Brown Confident He Beats Hendricks, Ready For Championship Reign

The UFC’s welterweight division has never looked so promising.

Rory MacDonald is fighting is fighting Tyron Woodley next month, in a bout many believe will put the winner into a title shot. You have Robbie Lawler fighting Jake Ellenberger later this month in a bout that could serve as a title eliminator in it’s own-right.

And then there’s Matt Brown.

“The Immortal” carries the largest active welterweight winning streak and is close to the top on the UFC stoppage-record-list as well. After his dominant performance over Erick Silva last weekend (Replay HERE), many believe the Ohio resident is due his shot at the throne.

During the post-fight presser Brown touched on this prospect:

“I hope so. I am not calling it a title shot, I am calling it a title fight because I am not going to take a shot at it. I’m going to take the title when I go fight for it.”
