Kinda like actions and words and stuff like that so… I wouldn’t say he acts like the best friend. But we have a history so we go back and there is friends that are just like, alright, well… You get annoyed each other or whatever for a while so I guess he was never a good friend but we were teammates and we had gone through a ton together so I think that brings him close. But other than that…

Colby Covington will get his title shot... Dana White says it just won't be when he wants

Drake Riggs - January 17, 2019

Since Tyron Woodley defended his UFC welterweight crown against Demian Maia in July 2017, there has seemingly been nothing but confusion clouding the top of the division. Roughly a year after the defense, Woodley was ready to return from his shoulder surgery yet the UFC made an interim welterweight title bout between Colby Covington and former lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos.

Dana White says Amanda Nunes and Cris Cyborg won't be rematching next

Drake Riggs - January 17, 2019

As much as it makes sense to give Cris Cyborg an immediate rematch after her first loss in 13-years at UFC 232, UFC President Dana White has other plans. At UFC 232 on December 29 2018, UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes did the unthinkable by defeating Cyborg. And she did so in incredibly devastating fashion.

Coach wants Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor rematch next

Tom Taylor - January 17, 2019

The next fight of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov remains a mystery. In the opinion of Nurmagomedov’s head coach Javier Mendez, however, the best option available is a rematch with Conor McGregor, who Nurmagomedov defeated at UFC 229 on October 6. “I look at this as more of a prizefight than I do sport,” Javier Mendez told Off The Brawl, outlining his pick for the next fight of Khabib Nurmagomedov. “I want the biggest prizefight and the biggest prizefight hands down is, there’s no comparison, it’s Conor. Obviously, I want a rematch, because that’s what it is, the biggest prizefight, right? Because of what happened the last time there’s more interest on the second one, there’s a rematch to be had. For me, I would rather have that.”

Three reasons to watch UFC Brooklyn on ESPN+

Mike Straus - January 17, 2019

Champion vs champion fights don’t come along too often and a title fight that is not on a PPV card is rare. That however, is exactly what is on tap for this weekend’s UFC Brooklyn card on ESPN+. The FOX era is over and the UFC is now partnered with Disney. Well, sort of … Disney owns ESPN. Regardless, just like they did with the first big FOX card between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos back in 2011, the UFC is coming in hot with their first offering on a new platform.

TJ Dillashaw fires back at 'scared' Henry Cejudo

Tom Taylor - January 17, 2019

Earlier this week, UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo made some rather hostile remarks about his next challenger, slimmed-down bantamweight champ TJ Dillashaw. Cejudo seemed particularly concerned about Dillashaw’s flyweight physique, and whether or not the bantamweight champ will hit the 125-pound flyweight limit for their Saturday night fight. “Personally, I think he looks like Pee-wee Herman if you ask me,” Cejudo said of Dillashaw on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour (transcript via MMA Fighting). “In the physique way, I really do feel like he looks like Pee-wee Herman. … I thought he’d have a little more bulk to him, but I guess not. He’s not looking so well. It looks like he needs a cup of water. He looks like a cross country runner.”

James Lynch - January 17, 2019

The last time we saw Brock Lesnar near a cage it was following Daniel Cormier’s historic heavyweight title victory at UFC 226 this past July. Cris Cyborg open to lightweight fight with PFL star Kayla Harrison

Tom Taylor - January 17, 2019

Last night, new UFC featherweight champ Amanda Nunes stated — apparently jokingly — that she is done with the featherweight division. Nunes followed this announcement by suggesting that Cris Cyborg, the woman she knocked out to win the UFC featherweight belt, fight lightweight prospect Kayla Harrison. Sorry Cristiane but I’m done with 145. My Goal was to be a double champ. But, now I can help you build the division. I got someone for you @Judo_Kayla is a true 145er

Jon Jones takes dig at Kevin Lee, Lee fires back with fight challenge

Tom Taylor - January 17, 2019

UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee is known for his innovative fashion choices, but not all of his outfits are well-received among his peers. One of Lee’s recent looks, for example, generated a negative comment from UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones. “I swear my daughter has that same jacket,” Jones wrote on one of Lee’s Instagram posts.
