Former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor has long campaigned for an ownership stake in the UFC. In fact, he did so as recently as earlier this month. “I’m ready to fight, I’ve said that. No problem,” McGregor said at a recent Q&A in Chicago (via BJPenn.com’s Mike Pendleton). “If the UFC wants me to slide into that co-main event slot and help, what that is, if I slide into the co-main event it’s boosting their brand over fighter rhetoric that they have. There’s no problem with that. If they want me to push that and I have no problem pushing that, give me my rightful shares in the UFC company. That’s all I ask. You can put me on the first fight of ESPN+ but just give me my shares. So, we’ll see what happens.”

At UFC 235, Tyron Woodley was put his title on the line when he took on Kamaru Usman, not Colby Covington like many expected. Ultimately, Usman dominated Woodley from bell to bell to become the new welterweight champion. Now, Colby Covington will apparently be getting the first crack at Usman. The two have had a feud going on for a while now and ‘Chaos’ believes Usman is actually an easier matchup than Woodley is.

That was until a nagging spine injury forced China’s best welterweight out of the bout.

In the end, Reyes emerged the victor of this fight with a split decision win. Not everybody, however, agreed with the scoring for this bout.

Curtis Blaydes set a new UFC record in his lopsided, UFC Nashville defeat of Justin Willis. The rising heavyweight contender completed seven takedowns in his fight with Willis, carrying his UFC total to a whopping 40. This is now the record for the most takedowns completed by any heavyweight in UFC history.
