Werdum feeling confident he will beat Velasquez again

By bjpenndotcom - December 11, 2015

Fabricio Werdum is one of the most dominant heavyweights on the UFC roster. With that being said, former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez was once the most dominant heavyweight.

When the two first met inside the Octagon at UFC 188 earlier this year, Werdum dominated the fight until eventually getting a 3rd round guillotine, unifying the UFC heavyweight and interim heavyweight championships.

Now, ahead of their rematch on February 6th at UFC 196, Werdum is confident he can defeat Velasquez once again.

He spoke to Combate:

“I’m really happy to have settled on this date. Of course I really tried to make it happen in Brazil, but it didn’t work. I’m sure I’ll have another opportunity to fight in my country in the future. Actually, my coach, Rafael Cordeiro had already foreseen I would beat Cain and we would rematch in Las Vegas.

“To be honest, I think he told me that about two years ago. Now it’s really happening, just like he said. I’m really happy that everything he saw is coming true. I will beat Cain again. I don’t mean to be arrogant, just confident.”

How do you see the rematch playing out?
