UFC Middleweight Championship contender Luke Rockhold is extremely confident in his upcoming fight with Chris Weidman at UFC 194., and he has every right to be. He is coming off a dominant victory over former champion Lyoto Machida and is currently riding a four fight win streak.

That’s not to say Weidman shouldn’t be confident either; The undefeated champion’s record is unmatched and he is the only man to beat Anderson Silva TWICE. The champion has shown improvement every time he steps into the octagon, but Rockhold still isn’t impressed with what he sees.

Rockhold spoke with Submission Radio on how he matches up with a “slow” Weidman.

“Chris is just too slow. He’s too slow. He’s slow. That’s all I’ve got to say. He’s slow, slow, slow.”

“I have a different level of speed and athleticism and he’s not going to be able to keep up with me. He can’t keep up, whether we’re on the ground or on the feet, and that’s where I plan on exposing every weakness he has.”

Rockhold is so self-assured is this fight that he gave away how the fight will end. “I’m going to shut Chris Weidman down in the first round,” said a confident Rockhold. “I’m going to expose him in the second round. I’m going to finish him with a left kick followed by a left punch. Simultaneously.
