Ilir Latifi to fight Sean O’Connell in Boston

The UFC revealed Thursday evening that Swedish fighter Ilir Latifi is slated to fight Sean O’Connell at ‘UFC Fight Night: Dillashaw vs. Cruz,’ also known as ‘UFC Fight Night: Boston,’ on January 17th.

Latifi will be making his American debut after 5 UFC fights taking place overseas. He is coming off a quick KO win over Hans Stringer back in July, which put him back in the win column after dropping a TKO loss to Jan Blanchowicz.

O’Connell on the other hand is similarly coming off a quick TKO win. The 32-year-old American is currently riding a 2-fight win streak that came after dropping back to back losses in his first two UFC fights.
