World Series of Fighting 3 Medical Suspensions: Burkman Tops List

By bjpenndotcom - June 18, 2013

Josh Burkman took revenge last Friday as he dispatched perennial UFC welterweight contender Jon Fitch in just 41-seconds.

Burkman came in to this fight off of a first round knockout of Aaron Simpson and extended his win streak in the WSOF to 3, the most by any welterweight in the promotion. As for his method, it took only one combination to floor Fitch, which Burkman capitalized on. Burkman leapt forward and attacked Fitch on the ground before locking in a guillotine choke which ended on Burkman’s accord when he rolled an unconscious Fitch on to his back.

Despite Burkman’s flawless efforts against Fitch, he tops the list of medical suspensions with a total 90 days as he waits to get results on x-rays conducted on his hands.

But in the fist-fighting business come the inevitable medical suspensions to ensure safety for all of the combatants who participated in the World Series of Fighting 3 event.
