UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has been in the United States working on motion capture for ‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’. ‘The Notorious’ gave fans a first look at what his character would look like in the game. Shortly after, footage emerged of McGregor doing motion capture for the game, leaving fans wanting more.

Now, newly released footage, which is accompanied by an interview of McGregor, gives fans a first look at his character in the game as he lands some ground and pound on an enemy.

Fight fans have been anxiously awaiting news on McGregor’s next fight. After picking up a majority decision win over Nate Diaz at UFC 202, avenging his submission loss to Diaz at UFC 196, UFC president Dana White stated that McGregor must defend his featherweight championship, or relinquish the belt.

This week, reports emerged that the UFC was looking to target a lightweight title fight between McGregor and Eddie Alvarez for their inaugural event in New York, UFC 205. Unfortunately however, the promotion is having a bit of trouble finalizing the fight because McGregor is refusing to relinquish his featherweight championship.

Despite Dana White saying that McGregor must defend his featherweight championship or relinquish it, McGregor remained noncommittal about returning to featherweight after UFC 202, even going as far as to state that he believes his next fight will be at lightweight.

In the meantime, the UFC has announced several other high-profile fights for UFC 205, including Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson, and Donald Cerrone vs. Kelvin Gastelum to name just two.
