When UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes knocked out UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg in the co-main event of UFC 232, it left pretty much everybody’s jaw on the floor. That includes UFC color commentator Joe Rogan.
In the UFC 232 instalment of the UFC’s popular post-fight series The Thrill and the Agony, we get a close-up look of how Joe Rogan reacted to this massive upset win. We also get to see how Dominick Cruz and Jon Anik reacted too — safe to say they were also surprised.

Nunes’ defeat of Cyborg undoubtedly registers as one of the bigger upsets of the year — particularly given the fashion with which she dispatched the long-time champion. It’d been years since we’d seen Cyborg so much as troubled in the cage. To see her beaten so decisively and so quickly was almost unfathomable.
Having vanquished Cyborg, the new two-division champion Nunes can look ahead to her next challenge. From the sounds of it, however, she’s not interested in fielding a challenge from Cyborg. She says she plans to make the former champion wait for a rematch.
“Cyborg doesn’t want to fight me if it takes more than a year to prepare, and right now, I don’t think she’s gonna want it because I’m gonna ask for two years to be ready for her again,” Nunes said on the UFC Unfiltered Podcast recently. “She said I wanted one year to be ready for her and she didn’t want to wait that much, she don’t wanna stay without fighting but right now I’m asking for two years for the rematch.”
Did you react to Amanda Nunes’ second UFC title win the same way Joe Rogan did?
