On Saturday night, in the main event of UFC 228, Liverpool’s Darren Till stepped into the Octagon with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, keen to take the welterweight belt for himself. Unfortunately for Till and his legions of fans, this fight did not go the way he planned. Instead, he was dropped and submitted by the champion in the bout’s second round. Having failed to capture the UFC welterweight title — and experienced the first defeat of his professional MMA career — it’s now back to the drawing board for Darren Till. While this loss is bound to be a tough pill to swallow, however, he seems to be in reasonably good spirits, all things considered.

This report from ESPN follows some strange Tweets from Till last night, in which he told Woodley to “accept the fight,” and claimed Covington was “out.”
